Camera Access
Cambridge Community Television:
CCTV loans equipment to Cambridge residents in exchange for providing
shows for their channels. To get certified to borrow their equipment,
purchase a membership ($55) and attend a free camera workshop.
Pre-registration is required.
Download a membership form. Those
wishing to bypass the certification class may rent cameras at commercial

Editing
New Media Center: The New Media Center in 26-139
has a cluster of Macintosh computers, including 6 PowerMac G5s, with the
following programs installed: Adobe CS2 Suite, Final Cut Pro HD, Maya
animation software, and Shake special effects software (only on the dual
processor G5s). On-site editing support will be provided for two hours
each evening from Tuesday, April 17th through Monday, April 23rd. The
actual two hour block may vary but will fall between 6PM to 10PM. Check
back here for exact times.
Cambridge Community Television: Editing suites are also available to Cambridge residents at Cambridge
Community Television, in exchange for putting a show on their channel.

Editing on your own Macintosh: iMovie comes pre-installed with all new Macs, and a good
online tutorial is available.
For free audio editing software, download Audacity.
For free image editing software, download The Gimp. If you are
feeling more ambitious, you may want to consider Final Cut Express or Final Cut Studio for editing.
Editing on your own Windows PC: Windows Movie Maker
is pre-installed on newer PCs. You can also download Avid Free DV,
a free version of the popular editing system from Avid, and you'll find their
online tutorial useful for getting started.
For free audio editing software, download Audacity.
For free image editing software, download The Gimp.If you are
feeling more ambitious, you may want to consider Adobe Premiere Pro or Vegas for editing.
